How to file a Complaint or Commendation

Complaints:
The Slaton Police Department reviews citizen complaints against employees.  You may complain about an employee to a supervisor by letter, email, walk-in (during business hours), online, or phone. You must make a complaint within 30 days of the date the misconduct occurred, except in criminal cases. If the allegation involves criminal misconduct, then the statute of limitations for that criminal act applies.

You must be willing to sign a sworn statement attesting to the allegations to make a formal complaint.  Reference to Texas Government Code 614.022

Commendations:
The Slaton Police Department employees love to hear about a job well done.  You may give a commendation about an employee to a supervisor by letter, email, walk-in (during business hours), online, or phone.
