Lost and found pets within the city limits of Slaton are commonly picked up by Slaton Animal Control and Slaton Police Department Patrol Officers. Upon intake, all animals are evaluated and scanned for microchips. When an animal does not have a microchip—or the chip does not contain current owner information—reuniting the pet with its owner can be more difficult.
