Accident Reports:

Police Report – Accidents/Crashes

Where can I pick up a copy of an Accident report?
Copies of Accident reports may obtain a copy of a Texas Peace Officer’s Crash Report (CR-3) by using the TxDOT Crash Report Online Purchase System. Customers using the online system receive their report(s) via email following the purchase. As of January 2023, the cost for a Crash Report is $6, or $8 for a certified copy (an official document often required for legal proceedings, etc.).

Those unable to use the online system may submit a request via email. Please submit an Open Records Request to pdrecords@cityofslaton.com.  Please allow your request to be processed within 10 business days (excluding weekends or holidays).  Once the report is ready, the Records Department will contact you.  You must pick up your report during normal business hours.  The cost for an accident report is $6.  The Slaton Police Department only accepts cash payments and cannot make change.
